LuxuriousPROTOTYPE attended the New York City premier of the Cycledance Film Festival 2013 held in a large Mulberry Street event space. This first annual event was an opportunity for magazine editors to preview a variety of high-end bicycle manufacturers’ new rides for the 2013 season. At the event some of the stars, Olympians, and X-Games athletes from the BMX and other cycle circuits were on hand to chat about their sport and their favorite bike equipment. Also on tap for the evening were the companies’ latest short films that showcased these competitive riders and their bikes.
Schwinn, Mongoose, GT, Cannondale and SUGOI were represented at this fun interactive event. Many of the company’s 2013 brands were on display with experts on hand to discuss the intricacies and the physics of building a competitive bikes, as well as the precise manufacturing processes needed to produce them. The short films were also a great way to see these two-wheelers in action. The films featured some of the most outrageous downhill biking ventures to be filmed on the competitive stunt biking circuit.
