Event Review: Hamptons Magazine Annual Memorial Day Celebration Hosted by Chelsea Handler.

On May 29, 2011 I had the privilege of attending the Hamptons Magazine Annual Memorial Day Party with Daniel Haim (@danielhaim) from Bloginity.com (@bloginity). The event, which was held at the Southampton Social Club, was sponsored by Belvedere (@belvederevodka) and Lacoste (@lacoste).

This event was one of the premiere events that was talked about around town and it certainly lived up to the title. When Daniel and I arrived we immediately saw the step and repeat banner to the left with several photographers clamoring to get an opportunity to take a photo of the celebrities that attended. We were then greeted by three cocktail waitresses holding platters of peach bellinis. As we turned the corner we noticed the Lacoste gifting suite (#winning). And when I say gifting suite, that it was! Guests of the event were able to grab a cap, watch and flip flops. See my bag below!

We then sat down and enjoyed the sounds of DJ Issy. We were waiting for the crowd to pick. As we were waiting we met two journalist, Shaina and Angeli (@Angelikakde), very cool! Out of no where James Lipton (host of the Inside the Actors Studio) took a seat next to me! I am a complete nerd for that show. He was very pleasant.

About 30 minutes later it seemed as if I blinked and there was a crowd. The guest we are dressed in Hamptons style: polos, chinos, ribbon belts, blazers & sun dresses. Beautiful crowd, if I must say so.

At this point we were up walking around and mingling with the guests. Then I saw Estelle (@EstelleDarlings) and Tika Sumpter (@iamtikasumpter). Dan and I went over to chat with them. AMAZING women! We had a great time just conversing with them. After hanging out with them we partied for a little while longer then left to the next party, Jessica White’s Angels Foundation Benefit Dinner for UNICEF.
