On Sunday, March 18th 2012 in New York City, Legendary Damon, Pretentious PR, Marquee and Remy Martin V presented “Studio 54” The Return of the King, Legendary Damon’s Birthday Celebration.
The event, which was hosted at New York’s iconic Marquee nightclub, located at 289 10th Avenue New York, NY 10001, was outfitted in various hues and textures of silver which was in keeping with the evenings theme “Studio 54” as well as Legendary Damon’s artistic approach to fashion. Sponsored by Remy Martin V and presented by Pretentious PR, the event not only highlighted a collage of Damon’s more memorable moments of style, courtesy of an eclectic video presentation by Sarah McColgan, but also established a first-entrance by way of horse-for famed New York nightclub Marquee. True to form Damon lived up to guests expectations of an elaborate, over the top entrance by entering the venue while straddling a white horse.
Guests enjoyed performances from Roc Nation songbird Bridget Kelly and United Kingdom Grammy Award winning singer Estelle while swaying to music provided by DJ’s Jimmy the Gent, Charlie Brown, Goldfinger, Kiss and MOS. Throughout the evening delicious cocktails were passed courtesy of Remy Martin V.
Legendary Damon was quoted as saying:
“Often times events can straddle the fence of mundane and predictable, and once that happenes you have failed to stimulate and seduce your guests. My goal is never to duplicate, but to inspire and what’s more inspiring than riding high on the horse? With the collective help of Pretentious PR, Marquee and Remy Martin V I believe we not only inspired, but also brought some of that old New York charm back by channeling the one and only Studio 54 and all of its opulence.”
From the inviting and interactive step and repeat, to the synchronized email blast welcoming guests to the event while encouraging them to Tweet about the evenings signature cocktails, and the over pouring adoration for the evenings guest of honor, The Return of the King was as memorable as it was fashionable.
