On January 23rd – 25th, 2015 Mohegan Sun hosted their 12th Annual Sun WineFest. The annual occasion brought out thousands of wine, spirits and beer connoisseurs to sample over 1,000 wine and beer brands or enjoy tastings of specialty sponsor spirits. In addition to the wonderful selection of adult beverages, there was food! Which was great for soaking up all libations that were served.
This year, celebrity chefs: Terry French, Todd English and Jasper White demonstrated various cooking techniques for tasting.
Trust me, a full weekend was needed to try everything. It was that massive! But there were some standouts that caught my eye. In particular:
Grey Goose XV – Vodka and cognac
Fishers Island Lemonade – Vodka and whisky with natural juice and flavors
79 Gold AU Caramel Spirit – Liqueur
Mumm Napa – Sparkling Wine
In addition to the actual festival, there were tons of activities taking place, ranging from shopping, music performances and club parties.
