Dockers Monogramming Station

On Wednesday, March 21, 2012 Dockers hosted a pretty sweet preview of their Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  DJ Orazio Rispo provided the soundtrack to the cocktail reception while tailor, Cesar Galindo, was on-hand to monogram and initial khaki’s for each of the preview’s attendee’s. In addition, there was also a photo booth set up to capture the attendees.

For Fall 2012, the collection offers a robust assortment of both casual and refined styles, including the beloved Alpha Khaki, in a range of autumnal shades, including Manzanita Bark, Red Ochre and a very soft, yet sturdy, weathered herringbone twill.  Also on the casual front, was the Ultimate Khaki in a fully flannel-lined option.  New for the season is the Urban Explorer Khaki: a modern, streamlined slim silhouette that offers a discreet hidden side pocket, providing, perfect, easy access to mobile devices. It combines the functionality of a cargo with a minimalist design aesthetic.

Also new for Fall is the Scout Cargo which couples the slim, raucous, tapered fit—and detailing—of of a vintage motorcycle pant with the all the functionality of a rugged cargo.

As for their more refined approach: they continued to play with the SF Khaki, a silhouette that takes the great fit of the Alpha and dresses it up with more sartorial details and fabrics, including brushed herringbones and crisp khaki twills.  Elsewhere in the collection are wide-wale corduroy trousers in a range of seasonal colors.

I am a personal fan of the Alpha Khaki’s as they fit so well!  I also had the opportunity to meet Nick Wooster. This man has GREAT style. I felt honored to be in the same room as him.
