The Super Bowl is a time to relax, enjoy friends and family, yummy comfort food and a tasty adult beverage.  Serving the old stand-by beers that your grandpa loved is one way to go, but to shake things up a bit, why not serve a new beer that has interesting flavors and enhances some of the big party’s many food choices.  Here are 4 new beers that will not only add delicious tastes to your football event, but will also have your friends talking.

Wynkoop Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout

This brewski is for all the Denver fans.  First, be warned, there were animal parts used in the production of this beer, thus the prominent reference to “Rocky Mountain Oysters.”  Assuming that 25 pounds of bull testicles provide this stout with its smooth flavor, let your guests first enjoy it before letting them know the shocking details.  First introduced in 2013, this beer has been the talk of any party or festivity where it is served.  Pair this bull infused drink with your best spicy chicken wings.  If the spice is nice and hot, it won’t matter whether this nutty flavored beer was brewed with an animals family jewels to bring out its flavor.

Long Trail Limbo IPA

Moving on to a sweeter brew, the Long Trail Limbo IPA is just the right type of beer for a frosty winter afternoon.  With hits of tropical scents and flavors, this IPA is a light drink that was brewed with a mix of Pacific Northwest and Australian hops.  Great with BBQ chicken or pork, this drink will take the chill out of winter and prep you for a warm Caribbean getaway.  Pack your bags!

Local 1

This Pale Ale hails from the Brooklyn Brewery in the BK.  This beer is quite literally a bouquet of floral flavors with a 9% alcohol content that will slap you across the face like the angry bridesmaid who’s bouquet you stole.  This one is perfect for the super-sized nacho tray coupled with a spicy guacamole dip — just right for any Super Bowl house event.

Iron Horse Brewing High-Five Hefe

Seattle fans will like this fruity (definite notes of bananas) wheat beer.  This brew has all the great taste of a Hefeweizen with that previously mentioned hint of banana, as well as slight flavors of clove, orange and ginger.  A great light tasting beer that will taste great with homemade soft pretzels and a tangy mustard dipping sauce.
