Invite: 2018 Guggenheim International Gala and Pre-Party with Jorja Smith

The 2018 Guggenheim International Gala (GIG) takes place on November 14 and 15 in the museum’s landmark building and celebrates the generosity of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation and philanthropists Dimitris Daskalopoulos and Alice Walton. The festive events begin with the Pre-Party on Wednesday, November 14, featuring a special performance by R&B singer-songwriter Jorja Smith in the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed rotunda. The benefit dinner on the following evening, Thursday, November 15, pays tribute to the 2018 honorees in recognition of their longstanding and dedicated commitment to supporting the arts. The 2018 Guggenheim International Gala is made possible by Dior.

The 2018 Guggenheim International Gala is the museum’s signature fundraising event, providing essential support for its world-renowned exhibition and educational programming, and stewardship of the building and unparalleled collection of modern and contemporary works of art.

Gala cochairs are Christina and Robert Baker, Pietro Beccari, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Valerie and Charles Diker, Wendy Fisher and Dennis Goodman, Christine and Richard Mack, Phyllis and William Mack, and Denise and Andrew Saul.

Tickets to the Pre-Party go on sale September 20, and include a performance by Jorja Smith, an open bar, and a viewing of select paintings in Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future, the first major museum exhibition of the Swedish artist in the US.

Tickets are $225 for members and $250 for general admission. A one-year membership to the Young Collectors Council (YCC) (valued at $600) may be combined with an individual ticket to the Pre-Party for the discounted price of $750.
