Drawing Board: The Canvas

Drawing Board is a short series of posts that will show you how to completely revamp your wardrobe. Watching the models and socialites on TV won’t give you the tools to become well-dressed. It starts with one basic component: understanding.

BronzeSo, if you’re looking to start over, this step-by-step tutorial will give you the basics to building a wardrobe that you wouldn’t mind showing MTV cribs or a visitor who’s over for a night cap!

The basic foundation to being well-dressed is confidence. Before you even put on your boxer briefs, you should layer up in confidence. “Spray on” a little poise and bathe in self-assurance. Confidence will come in handy as you explore patterns and concoct unique combinations. You’ll need to be able to dress without fear. The only thing is confidence can’t be purchased in the store. It’s not even available online or on sale. It’s within you. Spend a few times per week asking people for their opinion on what you wore and taking the criticism. As you become more comfortable, you’ll become more at ease who with you are and what you wore.

Remember, no matter what you wear, confidence must be underneath it all.

  1. Best thing I have read in ages! Every individual should read to know that clothes don’t make the man, the confidence of the man make all the difference.
    Must read for all genders!
